We always strive for improvement and that same ethos is reflected in our staff who want to better themselves. We support them in doing this by funding ongoing learning and development opportunities in building and construction careers.

For example, all of our contracts managers working out on site, attend the Leeds College of Building to gain a CIOB Level 4 certificate in Site Management & NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management.

Weekly training is conducted at out York offices while on site training is carried out with an assessor from the College. Courses in Health and Safety and Management Training are also conducted.

We’re also investing in assessor training for some of our mentors so that they can assess our Apprentices as they move through our Academy. But training and development is not just for site personnel. We help fund our quantity surveyors to achieve their next university qualification, and we’re helping one of our finance team gain a CIMA qualification.
