It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
The entire Mitchell & Urwin team has been getting into the festive spirit with a number of Christmassy events.
Christmas tree decorating
It all started on 1st December when the office and Brickyard teams decorated Christmas trees for their respective locations. Prosecco, mince pies and plenty of festive merriment followed, which certainly set the tone for the rest of the month.
The Christmas Raffle
We held a raffle to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK, with some fabulous prizes up for grabs. On 16 December, we pulled the winning tickets. The amazing first prize of a Lamborghini Driving Experience was won by Peter Colton. The second prize of a £250 John Lewis voucher was won by Keepmoat Homes Site Manager Wayne Edmond. The third prize of a luxury M&S hamper went to one of our subcontractors Adrian Hill.
We’d like to congratulate Paul Pierrepont, one of our contract managers, for selling the most tickets. He single-handedly raised £210, winning himself a £100 M&S voucher. Well done Paul. Altogether we managed to raise £1,604 for Prostate Cancer UK. This fantastic effort brings the total monies we have raised for the charity to £9,104 during 2016.
Also on 16 December, we arranged for Office Employees, Brickyard Managers and Contract Managers to take part in a Secret Santa. A limit of £10 was set to buy a gift that would suit their secret gift receiver. It was great fun, with some hilarious and imaginative gifts being received.
We’d like to wish all of our customers, staff, sub-contractors, suppliers and community a very merry Christmas. Here’s to a successful 2017.
